Competitive benefits package./ppDuties: The primary responsibility of the speech/language pathologist assistant is to deliver speech/language services as mandated on student IEPs in accordance with the Illinois State Board of Education requirements. Provide speech and language services to district students eligible for speech and language services./ppResponsibilities: The speech/language pathologist assistant is responsible for but not limited to:/pulliScreen students by referral, as needed./liliConduct speech/language evaluations as part of comprehensive case study./liliConduct 3-year speech/language re-evaluations as required by law./liliConduct speech/language-only evaluations as referred./liliCompletes screening procedure according to the districts speech/language guidelines./liliFollows established procedures for referrals, case studies, IEP paperwork, and annual reviews./liliProvide speech/language services as indicated on IEP and/or in RtI./liliParticipate as part of the multi-disciplinary team by advising on matters of speech and language./liliProvide consultation, in-service demonstration, feedback, and collaboration with appropriate professional staff and parents regarding student needs and progress./liliEstablish a student speech/language schedule./liliMaintain accurate, complete, and confidential records as required by law, district policy, and regulation./liliProvide and keep data regarding student progress./liliKeep current with best practices and requirements as they relate to your job assignment./li/ulpDistrict 155 expects candidates to be child-centered professionals with a high degree of energy, flexibility, and initiative.
