The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (Telemedicine) to be a member of the Ambulatory Care Team.VA Careers - Licensed Practical Nurse: https://youtube.com/embed/Ae85IP1Oiz4Total Rewards of a Allied Health ProfessionalThe Telemedicine LPN is responsible for site facilitation of Telemedicine applications which include CVT, Store and Forward, VVC and HT. They provide real-time TeleHealth support and training to providers during clinical visits. They will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:Provides information to patients, staff, and providers regarding Telehealth, Education and Training processes.As part of the Virtual Programming Support Team, assesses Veteran readiness for use of virtual modalities, provides education to Veterans and family on use of these modalitiesAssists the remote and local provider, employee and patient as needed.Responsible for any patient, staff education/ training, documentation, and assistance with workload capture that is basic for the completion of the visit and/ or training.Has regular contact with the facility coordinator to work out any process issues, equipment needs / problems, data collection, and any other logistical issues.Opens the training, online information, and/or TeleHealth patient room. Readies the equipment for training, education, access, exams, and establishes the online, video conferencing or other connections necessary for the visit, training or instruction. Creates the appropriate clinical and/or training setting/ environment.Orients the patient, staff and/or provider to the environment, room, equipment and process, and answers questions while providing instruction and assistance.Identifies the staff, patient or provider for the presenter. Stays in the room and facilitates the interaction, if this is part of the protocol or as requested.
