About the RoleGeneral Carbide is seeking a hands-on, experienced Human Resources Generalist to support recruiting, employee relations, and workforce initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is a key member of a HR team and will partner closely with the Director of Human Resources to execute core HR functions while maintaining strong alignment with organizational priorities.The ideal candidate is a team-oriented, accountable professional who can balance independent work with collaboration, demonstrate sound judgment, and contribute to a consistent and professional HR presence across the organization. Key ResponsibilitiesRecruiting & Talent Acquisition (Approximately 50%)Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts including sourcing, screening, and scheduling interviewsPartner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and drive timely hiring decisionsMaintain an active candidate pipeline and ensure a positive candidate experienceTrack, manage, and report recruiting activity and progress to ensure timely resultsEmployee Relations & HR SupportServe as a resource to employees and supervisors on HR policies and proceduresSupport employee relations matters through fact-gathering and issue resolution, escalating when appropriatePromote a professional, respectful, and consistent employee experienceDemonstrate sound judgment and professionalism in employee interactionsWorkforce Development & Community EngagementSupport partnerships with schools, technical programs, and workforce organizationsCoordinate career fairs, internships, and workforce development initiativesEnsure external communications and program execution align with HR leadership directionExperience with grants or workforce funding programs is a plusHR OperationsAssist with onboarding and offboarding processesSupport HRIS data accuracy and reportingProvide backup support for payroll and benefits administration as neededAssist with HR projects and continuous improvement initiativesMaintain clear visibility of work progress and communicate priorities effectively within the HR teamQualificationsBachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferredApproximately 5–10 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentCandidates must be able to describe measurable recruiting outcomes in prior roles.Experience in recruiting and employee relations requiredExposure to payroll and benefits administration strongly preferredSHRM-CP or PHR certification preferredWhat We’re Looking ForStrong organizational skills and follow-throughAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver resultsProfessional communication and interpersonal skillsSound judgment in employee-facing and leadership settingsAbility to work independently while maintaining alignment with leadership directionTeam-oriented mindset with a willingness to support the broader HR function
