Second Pressman - Heatset Web Press

We're currently hiring a Second Pressman to join our third shift team and support operations on our Baker Perkins G14 Heatset Web Press. In this role, you'll work closely with the Lead Press Operator to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety during every production run, while developing the technical skills to grow into a future lead role.What You'll Do:Assist in setting up the G14 press, including plate hanging, blanket cleaning, and ink fountain prep.Monitor web alignment, ink/water balance, and registration throughout runs.Perform roll changes and manage press materials.Conduct ongoing quality checks for color consistency, alignment, and folding.Troubleshoot minor press issues and report more complex concerns.Support joggers with stacking, pallet movement, and material handling.Perform routine maintenance tasks as directed.Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe pressroom environment.Collaborate with your team to ensure jobs are completed on time.Uphold our core values: Collaborate, Innovate, Inspire, Deliver.Who We Are Looking For:A mechanically-minded team player with a strong work ethic.Someone with an eye for detail and a desire to produce high-quality printed materials.A self-starter eager to learn and advance toward a lead operator role over time.What You Bring:Experience in a print production environment strongly preferred.Familiarity with web press operations-especially the Baker Perkins G14-is a plus.Basic mechanical aptitude and a commitment to learning.Ability to identify and communicate print defects.Comfort operating pallet jacks and handling press materialsWillingness to work overnight (7 pm-7 am), with flexibility for weekends and overtimePhysical ability to lift 50 lbs., perform repetitive movements, and stand for extended periodsReasons you'll love working here:Reliable and Flexible Hours: We will give you a schedule you can count on.Career Development: We invest in you.
