Goldwater Care Marseilles - Maintenance DirectorGoldwater Care MarseillesLocation: Marseilles, IllinoisJob Type: FULL_TIMESummary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at Goldwater Care Marseilles. As the leader of our Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the department to ensure the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs, and activitiesCoordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departmentsInspect storage rooms, workrooms, utility/janitorial closets, and other areas to ensure upkeep and supply controlParticipate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies and develop a plan of correction for maintenance deficienciesPerform administrative duties, such as completing necessary forms, reports, evaluations, and studiesSupervise safety and fire protection and prevention programs and ensure maintenance personnel follow established safety regulationsEnsure that all personal wear and/or use safety equipment and supplies when lifting or moving heavy objectsMaintain confidentiality of all resident care information and report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosureQualifications:High school education or its equivalentMinimum 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity, in a maintenance/plant-related positionKnowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsAbility to read and interpret blueprintsKnowledge of building codes and safety regulationsAbility to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionPhysical Demands:Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workdayMust function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agenciesMust meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facilityIf you are a motivated and experienced maintenance professional looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we encourage you to apply for this exciting role.
