MEDHOST, a division of Harris; is seeking a Cash Posting Representative who is responsible for timely and accurate payment posting for various methods of reimbursements, including ERAs, EOBs, third parties, and patient payments.This role is responsible for posting of various types of adjustments (contractual, write-offs, denials) and other adjustments as requested by facility. The position requires professional Customer interaction and adherence to MEDTEAM best practice methodologies.This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in the US. Candidates should be comfortable using AI enabled technologies, including copilots, chat based AI assistants, and automation tools, as part of their everyday work while maintaining appropriate judgment, security, and compliance standards.What Your Impact Will BePRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED)Responsible for timely and accurate posting of payments and adjustments on all accounts dailyBalancing of ERA and manual RA's batches posted within the client's systems and balance to the amounts deposited to the client's bank accountsResponsible for locating patient accounts to post payments; unidentified/unapplied accounts to be worked dailyUnderstands all aspects of payor contracts in terms of payments and refundsProcess/post payments and adjustment requests with the goal of account accuracy and customer satisfactionMonitors and reports to leadership of any trends identified and documents cash posting/credit balance/refunding issuesParticipates and completes special projects assigned by leadership to improve ongoing operations within the departmentDevelop workflows to improve internal process and efficiencyWorks in partnership with other teams and team members to resolve outstanding itemsMaintain the effectiveness and implementation of the MEDHOST Quality Management System and meet applicable regulatory requirements as neededResponsible for QMS procedures listed in QMS Procedure Crosswalk found in QMS Manual as applicableAdministrative DutiesAccurately enters and submits time by the required departmental deadlinesBooks travel in adherence to the company travel policyRecommends, maintains and updates department documentationMaintains documentation regarding Customer interactionProvide training in areas of expertise and support for training documents necessary to assist clients as requiredMaintains in-depth knowledge of software core productsAttend and participate in team and departmental meetingsMaintain application & industry knowledge through self-study and by attending training classesResponds to email and phone communications timelyEnsure that all HIPAA Privacy and Security/Compliance requirements and responsibilities are adhered to constantlyAssists the leadership team with recommended improvementsAll other duties as assignedWhat We Are Looking ForBasic knowledge of business office terminologyProven ability to understand and interpret reason for patient accounting credit balances, payor overpaymentsKnowledge of the full revenue cycle processGood interpersonal skills that include the ability to effectively communicate in both writing and verballyMust be detail oriented, function effectively under stress, organized, ability to multi-task and analytical skills requiredAbility to demonstrate supportive relationships with peers, clients, partners, and corporate executivesMust be flexible with a "can do" attitude and have the ability to remain professional under high pressure situationsAbility to retain and protect confidential materialAble to prioritize customer issues and escalate or solve with urgency2 years or more experience in reimbursement and/or accounts receivable setting; hospital or hospital central billing office settingMust be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are givenComputer skills in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) to complete work assigned and AS400 knowledgeCustomer Service orientedHigh Speed Internet access (minimum 300 Mbps download speed) and unlimited dataSmart phone for Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) applicationWhat We Can Offer3 weeks’ vacation and 5 personal daysComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits starting from your first day of employmentEmployee stock ownership and RRSP/401k matching programsLifestyle rewardsRemote work and more!About MEDHOSTMEDHOST, founded in 1984 and headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, is a leading provider of healthcare information technology solutions.
