Construction SuperintendentPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations and deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budget. The Superintendent will oversee day-to-day construction activities across a portfolio that includes commercial construction, student housing, multi-family (garden-style and mid-rise), senior living, and build-to-rent developments. The role requires strong leadership, a commitment to safety (OSHA 10/30 preferred), and the ability to coordinate subcontractors, crews, and vendors to achieve project milestones and client satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily field operations, including crews, subcontractors, and on-site vendors to ensure safe, efficient progress.Implement and enforce safety standards and procedures; maintain OSHA compliance and promote a culture of safety on site.Review plans and specifications, communicate scope and sequences to crews, and ensure work is executed to design and quality standards.Develop and manage short-term and weekly schedules; work with project management to maintain overall project schedules and critical path activities.Oversee quality control, conduct regular inspections, identify and resolve defects, and complete punch lists for timely project closeout.Coordinate material deliveries, equipment staging, and site logistics to optimize productivity and minimize delays.Track labor productivity, report progress against budgets and schedules, and identify potential risks or delays with recommended mitigation strategies.Facilitate subcontractor coordination, approve daily work activities, and enforce contract compliance and site housekeeping standards.Maintain accurate on-site documentation including daily reports, RFIs, submittals, safety logs, and progress photos for the project team and stakeholders.Mentor and lead craft personnel, promote teamwork, and address personnel issues to maintain morale and performance.Qualifications5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or comparable field leadership role on commercial and multi-family projects.Proven experience with project types including commercial construction, student housing, multi-family (garden style, mid-rise), senior living, and build-to-rent is highly desirable.OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.Strong understanding of construction means and methods, reading plans and specifications, and quality control practices.Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and meet project milestones under tight deadlines.Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid) and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills with a focus on teamwork and mentorship.Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; ability to travel between job sites as required.High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
