Feedmill Mixer/Operator 2-3

Job Title Primarily responsible for mixing micro ingredients per the specified formulas and staging them in a neat and orderly manner. In addition, will perform housekeeping activities, maintenance and repair of equipment, and quality checks on ingredients. Also responsible for preventing theft or loss of product ensuring trucks leave empty. Responsible for compliance with all company policies, FSMA regulations, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.Responsibilities and Tasks:Mix and route feed according to formulas, procedures and schedule utilizing batching controller, mixing equipment, routing equipment, destination bins and downstream operations.Communicate and coordinate batching schedule and production with appropriate personnel maximizing efficiency while following FDA, GMP and QC procedures.Accurately complete and maintain assigned reports, logs and documents in a neat and orderly manner.Monitor and adjust equipment accordingly.Use proper operating parameters and equipment settings to effectively deliver a high quality product.Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment.Communicate equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.Perform routine housekeeping ensuring designated areas are kept clean.Comply with all company policies, FSMA regulations, and local, state and federal laws, and regulations.Perform all other duties as assigned.Required Skills:High School Diploma or equivalent.Ability to perform basic math functions (i.e. proportions, percentages, area, volume, etc.).Possess basic computer knowledge and usage abilities.Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.Ability to communicate effectively, and read and write legibly.Possess sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.Preferred Education and Experience:Previous feed mill experience.Safety Requirements:Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Physical Requirements:Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend.Frequently climb stairs and 50+ foot ladders.Ability to lift and carry 50 - 100 lbs.Ability to work in confined spaces.Constantly subject to dusty, hot environments.Frequently work in loud environment requiring ear protection.Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.Ability to work at heights of 200+ ft.We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
