Field Service Technician
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team, supporting operations at manufacturing facilities across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical troubleshooting. This role involves providing on-site technical support, performing maintenance and repairs, and ensuring optimal operation of manufacturing equipment. Candidates with experience in industrial electrician work, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and customer service will thrive in this position. A background in military service or industrial mechanic experience is highly valued. The position offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes efficiently.
Operate and calibrate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to ensure equipment functionality.
Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and parts inventory.
Repair or replace components involving low voltage and high voltage electrical systems while adhering to safety standards.
Conduct welding tasks specific to welding requirements as needed for repairs or modifications.
Support customer service initiatives by providing technical assistance directly at client sites or via remote communication.
Use scissor lifts and other industrial equipment safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas during maintenance tasks.
Follow schematics and technical drawings accurately for complex repairs or installations.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety protocols related to industrial mechanics and maintenance.
Skills
3+ years of debugging and making modifications to PLC programming
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.62 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
