Job Description Service MechanicEstablished in 1987, Triad Metals International is a privately held, independent company that has grown to become one of the premier distributors of structural steel, tubing, piling, and plate products. We are looking to hire a Service Mechanic to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA!Successful Candidates will be expected to:Inspect, repair, and maintain commercial vehicles and flatbed TrailersAdjust equipment to repair or replace defective partsDiagnose faults or malfunctions using testing equipmentReplace steering systems, gearboxes and braking systems, among other things including the mounting and dismounting of semi-tiresInspect and test the lighting systems and performance of commercial vehicles and flatbed trailersCarry out preventative maintenance on equipmentKeep detailed records of all vehiclesMaintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needsMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededQualifications/Required Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent is preferredEquipment Maintenance, Technical UnderstandingBasic Safety with power toolsAttention to detailCDL License is preferred, but not requiredMust be able to stand, bend, walk, and lift 50 lbs. for up to 10 hours per day, when necessaryJob Type: Full-Time position, which includes health, dental, and vision benefits, as well as a company matched 401K planAdditional:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by the employee assigned to this position.
