Negotiates partnership agreements to achieve desired revenue and profitability objectives. Drives joint partner/channel sales opportunities. Uses sales tools for accurate forecasting of current and future business.This Role In SummaryWe are seeking qualified candidates for an open Market Development Representative role in the West Region. The Market Development Representative will proactively contact our Trade Customers on a consistent basis to provide a world class sales experience. This individual will be involved in providing marketplace insights, communication of pricing, programs, product transitions, marketing assets and overall merchandising assistance.This position must sit in the Central Coast area.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeResponsible for the sales and development of Retail and Associate Contract Distributor Trade Customers with a territory that consists of between 80 – 100 accounts.Be a proactive sales consultant to ensure only the highest quality sales experience for our Whirlpool Trade Customers.Other duties include maintaining current customer base, tracking leads, and proactively selling to ensure high quality sales experiences for our Whirlpool Trade Customers.Develop and drive a ‘plan to sell’ to grow margin, revenue and share with assigned trade partnersCreate strategic opportunities for buy-in and sell through activitiesProvide insight driven selling techniquesContribute to sales team success by gathering and sharing market and competitive informationWork independently and in a team environmentEarn an incentive bonus based on performance to quotaMinimum RequirementsBachelor Degree2+ Years Sales ExperiencePreferred Skills And ExperiencesPrevious sales experienceStrong business acumen and analytical skillsExcellent negotiation, persuasion and relationship building skillsStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenPC skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, SAP)Compensation DataThe anticipated salary range for this position is $51,700 - $103,400 + Commission.
