HUGS Coordinator
AMERICORPS MEMBER POSITION DESCRIPTION: Leeza’s Care Connection HUGS CoordinatorHelping U Grow Strong (HUGS) is a peer-to-peer networking program designed to connect caregivers new to their journey with trained experienced caregivers (Certified HUGS Ambassador). HUGS Coordinators schedule and facilitate HUGS Trainings, as well as provide support to HUGS Ambassadors as they match with caregivers in the community. ALL priorities for projects and tasks for day-to-day service are performed under the supervision and guidance of assigned Site Supervisor and must align or fall with in the below essential & sustainability functions.ResponsibilitiesSupport with day-to-day programming at LCC or off-site service sites & our partner Forefront Living (i.e. Lunch & Learns, Support groups, Education Presentations, Wellness Programming, Virtual Dementia Tours, and LCC events)Accurately input, track, and submit monthly report on HUGS Participants, HUGS Training, HUGS Ambassadors, HUGS Caregiver MenteesAssist with development and editing of communication and marketing tools for HUGS (i.e., flyers, posters, social media graphics, ads, signage, newsletters, website editing, etc.).Recruit potential HUGS Mentors & provide outreach for HUGS ProgramCoordinate, schedule, and facilitate HUGS Trainings including provided lunch, and materials neededSupport HUGS Ambassadors with any concerns as they match and mentor caregiversTake/send photos, videos, and candid b-roll videos of HUGS programming to Communications Team to highlight your program and your impact!Our Service Members Are Individuals WhoOur members are individuals whoare looking to grow professionallyare eager to learn and test new skills to figure out their interestswant hands-on experience in a non-profit or public healthhave interest in serving families who are impacted by the effects of chronic illness like Alzheimer’s Disease, Dementia, MS, Parkinson’s Disease, etc.who take responsibility and pride in their commitment to a year of service
