Telemetry Technician

Company DescriptionThe Telemetry Technician assists nursing departments by monitoring cardiac rhythms and alarms for groups of patients and promptly reporting and documenting cardiac rhythm disturbances to the nursing team.Job DescriptionKnowledge of cardiac physiology, proficiency with learning new technology, and ability to manage distractions in a fast-paced environment are necessary.QualificationsEducation and Experience: High school diploma or equivalentCertification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required within 90 days of hireOTHER REQUIREMENTSPrior experience with electrocardiograms or in some related medical field required.Applicant must successfully complete basic EKG class or pass the hospital's EKG exam.Works within the policy and procedure of nursing services and the hospital.Additional InformationMunson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
