MACHINING SET-UP TECH LEAD (GB)

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN Basic Job Purpose:The Machining Set-up Technician is responsible for preparing and setting up machines for production runs. This role ensures machines are properly configured, and tools are installed correctly. Monitor the dispatch list, and make sure machines have work, this includes 2nd shift production as well. Assignment Functions and ResponsibilitiesFollow dispatch list to ensure machines have correct jobsSetup machines according to job specificationsValidate tooling set up, program offsets and machining parametersMake sure correct tooling is ready for machinesHave table and vacuum pods set up for machine's next runTear down previous job table and vacuum podsSet up and tear down tools as neededReturn tools to tool roomRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructionsInstall and align tooling, fixtures, and materialsMonitor machine operations and make adjustments as neededTroubleshoot machine or tooling issues during productionProvide feedback to machine programmingEnsure compliance with safety and quality standardsAssist operators with technical guidance when needed Minimum Requirements for Education, Skillset, Qualifications, and Experience:Must be a US citizenHigh School Diploma or GED (technical training preferred)2+ years of CNC set-up experienceAbility to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)Knowledge of G-code and CNC controls.Strong problem-solving skillsMechanical aptitude and attention to detail
