Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRegistered Nurse - PCU/n/nJob Details:/n• Work in a progressive care unit focusing on cardiovascular patient monitoring/n• 1:4 patient ratio maintained across all shifts/n• 36-hour orientation provided/n• Must be flexible with weekend requirements - work 50% of weekends in contract/n• Required to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) within facility and affiliate hospitals/n• May be assigned charge nurse responsibilities with training and resources provided/n• Teaching facility requiring agreement to precept students and allow shadowing/n• Call-in policy requires makeup shifts or extension of contract/n• 2 years of nursing experience required/n• Trauma Level I experience required/n• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS preferred/n• Skills required: Cardiac PCU, drips, post cath lab procedures, IV starts, sheath pulls/n• Preferred skills: Conscious sedation and telemetry/n• Care for patients with cardiovascular diagnoses including CHF, post-MI, cardiac arrhythmias, COPD/n• Handle post-cath lab procedures, pre-LVAD placements, and pre-heart/lung transplants/n• Work with cardiac drips, central line care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management/n• Charting system experience with Cerner preferred/n• First time travelers accepted/n• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays/n/nFacility:/nThis major healthcare system operates as a teaching facility with comprehensive cardiovascular services. The progressive care unit features 28 beds serving an average daily census of 27 patients, with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
