Observation Aide II-24 hour Night E/O weekend & holiday rotation
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24Provides constant observation of patients in person who are in need of supervision because of possible danger to self and/or others; change in mental status (confusion) that may place the patient at risk for injury and/or interferes with the effectiveness of medical/surgical equipment.Essential DutiesProvide assistance to licensed staff in the application/removal of restraintsPerforms patient assistance such as ambulation and mobilization activities safely.Recognize patient emergency situations and respond in an appropriate manner.Provide continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients via Avasys.Will verbally re-direct patients from engaging in risk behaviorsDemonstrates knowledge of operational competency of the Avasys Monitoring SystemRequired Skills/Qualifications/Training/ExperienceAble to follow directions. Demonstrates dependability, punctuality and flexibility.Successfully completes class on role and responsibilities.Command of verbal and written EnglishMust visibly demonstrate commitment to customer service by providing timely, positive responses to the needs of all customers including patients, families, co-workers and staff.Educational RequirementsHigh School Graduate or equivalentCompletion of Hospital Orientation / Observation Aide Orientation and Avasys Orientation.Age Specific Criteria: Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.Ability to Meet Job Performance Expectations: Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.Salary Range: $15.67-$23.50Salary Range DetailsThe pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
