To learn more, please visit out website: kcnfdc.com.Benefits:A hybrid schedule: 2 days remote & 3 days in-person25 total PTO Days + all firm holidaysFully paid health, vision, and dental insurance for the employee, a spouse/registered domestic partner, and childrenFully paid long-term disability and optional self-paid short-term disabilityFully paid life insurance and optional self-paid supplemental life insuranceAnnual bonus contingent on meeting billable and client development hour requirements and performancePaid cell phone service (the employee provides the phone)Firm contributions to 401K, FSA, + profit sharing plan once eligibleSelf-paid pre-tax WMATA benefitsPaid professional development, including bar memberships, conferences, and CLEsMonthly team luncheonsResponsibilities:Represent federal employees and private-sector employees in matters before the EEOC, MSPB, OSC, and in state/federal courtinvolving discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower disclosures, sexual harassment, employee discipline, and other employment-related claimsManage all phases of litigation, including case strategy development, client counseling, administrative investigations, discovery (written discovery and depositions), motions practice, hearings, and trialEngage in settlement negotiations, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution on behalf of clientsCollaborate closely with firm attorneys on complex, high-impact matters, including multi-plaintiff and consolidated actionsCommunicate regularly with clients regarding case status, strategy, and risk assessmentSupervise and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals, as appropriate.Contribute to case intake evaluations, legal research initiatives, and strategic planning across the firm’s federal and private-sector practice areasRequirements:A JD degree + Washington DC bar license6+ years of employment litigation experienceParticipation in court trials, preferably as first-chair, as well as EEOC or MSPB hearingsExcellent case management and organizational skillsOutstanding research and writing skillsSuperb verbal and written communication skillsPlease note that this job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and is not representative of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
