Operations Manager

Serving 98% Black and Latino students, HVA consistently outperforms the district, city, and state by wide margins, and ranks at the very top of charter schools. 100% of HVA high school students earn admission to college each year, and 83% are the first in their families to attend college.The OpportunityThe Operations Manager will work closely with the Operations Director in all operations areas to support the success of the school and ensure that teachers and students can effectively focus on teaching and learning. The ideal candidate is a highly intelligent, driven individual with a passion for operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.Responsibilities Work in all operations areas including technology, data analysis, compliance, human resources, and special projectsPlan and coordinate large scale events for school operations teamProvide seasonal support to school improvement and relocation projectsSupport facilities and security managementManage food service operations including meal benefit applications, federal and state reimbursements, lunch bills, and complianceManage inventory and deployment systems for technology, mobile devices, and suppliesManage purchasing and vendor relationships for schoolsProvide administrative support to school operations team including, but not limited to, ordering supplies, filing expense reports, organizing files and data, and planning team activitiesComplete other managerial and administrative tasks and special projects as assignedQualifications A bachelor’s degree preferredBilingual in Spanish strongly preferredMinimum 2 years of work experience; school-experience preferredSelf-motivated, resourceful, detail and deadline-orientedHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyFine-tuned analytical skills with strengths in attention to detail, problem solving, and logical reasoningExcellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate to various constituencies and work effectively with a variety of staff at all levels within and outside the organizationStrong team player, with willingness to be hands-on and do whatever it takes to support the success of Harlem Village AcademiesCompensation & BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $60,000 - $73,500, and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final salary may be adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
