Role Description This is a part-time on-site role for an Event Coordinator located in Butte, MT. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events that align with the museum’s mission. Daily tasks include managing logistics, coordinating schedules, overseeing event setup and teardown, liaising with vendors and participants, and ensuring events run smoothly. The Event Coordinator will also manage budgets, maintain event calendars, and work collaboratively with staff to promote and evaluate events. Qualifications Event planning and coordination skills, including scheduling and logistics managementStrong organizational and time management capabilitiesExcellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external vendorsProficiency with event management software and digital tools is a plusKnowledge of budgeting and financial planning for eventsAbility to solve problems and adapt quickly in dynamic settingsFamiliarity with the local community and/or interest in history or cultural preservation is an advantage
