Our laboratories in Redmond, Lacey, and Wenatchee are accredited by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO).Job DescriptionAAR, a SOCOTEC Company is looking for certified Construction Quality Assurance Testing Technicians for a seasonal project in Haines, Alaska that will run from May/early June until September or October, depending on weather. Lodging and per diem provided while working at the project location. Project will entail working 40-60 hours per week.Material Testing (Certifications Required)Review approved construction drawings and specificationsCommunicate with contractor workers, foremen, superintendents, project managers, building inspectors and report findingsWrite concise inspection reports using specific language pertaining to contract documents, approved drawings, and any applicable codeCommunicate with AAR office to report inspection observations, scheduling and sample pick up coordinationInspection and verification of materials for compliance to the plans and specificationsAccurately complete quality records relating to material testingReview of contract documentsEnsure that contractors comply with specificationsThe ability to obtain additional certifications to perform in-field material testingAbility to lift up to 50 lbsQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentAuthorization to work in the United StatesWAQTC in place density and ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1Excellent verbal and written communication skillsBasic computer skillsValid driver’s license with a clean recordEnergetic, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and manage a multi-task workloadother duties as assigned by the managerAdditional InformationSalary Range: $45-50/hour, depending on qualificationsBenefitsFree Medical, Dental, and Vision for employees.
