Radiation Therapist Location: Columbus, OH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,737 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position Job Title: Radiation Therapist Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Radiation Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:45 - 16:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: State License Required Certifications: ARRT (Radiation Therapy), BLS Must-Have: - Associate's Degree in Radiography - ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy - BLS certification Description: Administers Radiation Therapy treatments. Maintains daily records of treatment, including daily dosages and calculations. Performs simulations, acquires treatment parameters, patient contours, and dose calculations. Maintains patient schedules for in-patients and out-patients. Communicates frequently with families and hospital personnel to coordinate schedules and accommodate patients. Monitors patient condition and progress daily, including weight, skin care, and reactions. Assists the Radiation Oncologist in performing Brachytherapy procedures. Works in an outpatient department serving both outpatients and inpatients. Patients come for their radiation treatments, or are transported by a team from their rooms. Utilizes Linear Accelerators for treatment. Performs 3D, IMRT, SRS, and SBRT treatments. Operates a CT scanner for simulation appointments. Collaborates with a comprehensive team of Radiation Therapists, Nurses, and Radiation Oncologists. Engages with patients for consultations, follow-ups, and on-treatment visits. Works in a team-focused setting to provide quality patient care. Ensures adherence to all safety and regulatory standards in the treatment process.
