Little Water Reclamation Facility. This position ensures safe, reliable, and compliant operation of plant assets through effective leadership, planning and scheduling, accurate parts and materials management, and strong coordination with Operations.Operations is the customer. The Maintenance Manager ensures maintenance work is performed in direct support of operational needs and priorities, completing work as requested by Operations to maintain asset reliability and treatment performance.Bring your team-focus, adaptability, and commitment to excellence, and we'll help you grow what drives you - and deliver the world's most challenging Operations Management projects, together.ourjacobs #bia #omfs #challengeacceptedEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintenance Leadership & Execution• Lead and supervise maintenance personnel, including mechanics, electricians, instrumentation technicians, and specialists, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.• Manage maintenance of all treatment process equipment, RHTE equipment, and facility systems to ensure reliable and compliant plant operation.• Ensure preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to established standards and procedures.• Serve as the primary maintenance point of contact for Operations, ensuring maintenance work requests are clearly understood, prioritized, scheduled, and executed as requested.• Reinforce the principle that Operations is the customer, and maintenance work exists to support operational reliability and needs.Planning, Scheduling & Work Management• Oversee maintenance planning and scheduling activities to ensure work is properly scoped, prioritized, and resourced.• Ensure job plans include accurate labor estimates, required parts and materials, tools, safety requirements, and coordination with Operations.• Manage and review CMMS work orders, asset history, backlog, and maintenance metrics to support continuous improvement.• Balance planned maintenance with emergent operational needs while minimizing impacts to plant operations and treatment performance.RHTE & Facility Infrastructure Maintenance• Manage maintenance of RHTE equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, operational requirements, and regulatory standards.• Oversee upkeep of facility infrastructure, including buildings, structural components, piping systems, mechanical rooms, electrical systems, and support utilities.• Coordinate inspections, repairs, and life cycle maintenance for critical equipment and facility assets.• Ensure facility and equipment conditions support safe access, reliability, and efficient operations.Parts, Materials & Inventory Management• Ensure accurate identification, specification, ordering, and staging of parts and materials required to complete maintenance work correctly the first time.• Coordinate with storeroom staff, procurement, vendors, and suppliers to maintain appropriate inventory levels and critical spares for process, RHTE, and facility assets.• Verify parts compatibility, quality, and specifications to prevent rework, downtime, and asset damage.• Control maintenance costs through effective purchasing practices and inventory management.Vendor & Contractor Management• Identify, select, and manage contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance, repairs, RHTE services, and facility improvement work.• Develop scopes of work, review bids, manage contracts, and monitor contractor performance for safety, quality, and schedule compliance.• Coordinate contractor activities with Operations and Maintenance to ensure safe integration into active plant operations.Training & Workforce Development• Ensure maintenance personnel are trained, qualified, and competent to maintain process equipment, RHTE systems, and facility assets.• Support development and execution of training plans, on the job training, and mentoring programs.• Promote cross training and knowledge sharing to increase workforce flexibility and resilience.• Communicate maintenance standards, procedures, and expectations clearly and consistently.Communication & Collaboration• Communicate effectively with Operations, Engineering, Safety, Environmental Compliance, and other lines of business.• Participate in daily coordination meetings, outage planning, capital project reviews, and operational planning sessions.• Maintain proactive communication with leadership and client representatives regarding maintenance status, risks, and upcoming work.• Foster positive working relationships with internal teams, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders.Safety, Compliance & Asset Stewardship• Ensure maintenance activities comply with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.• Promote a strong safety culture, including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, hot work, and job hazard analysis.• Support environmental compliance through proper maintenance of treatment and support systems.• Actively manage asset condition and reliability to extend equipment life and reduce unplanned outages.• High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade certification or associate degree preferred.• Minimum 5-7 years of industrial or municipal maintenance experience, including supervisory experience.• Experience in wastewater treatment, water reclamation, RHTE systems, or similar industrial facilities strongly preferred.• Demonstrated experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, CMMS, and contractor oversight.Ideally, You'll Also Have:• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and process systems in a water reclamation facility.• Proven leadership and people management skills.• Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute work in a dynamic operating environment.• Strong communication skills with technicians, Operations staff, management, contractors, and clients.• High attention to detail in work planning, parts ordering, and execution.• Clear understanding that Maintenance supports Operations and delivers work to meet operational needs.Working Conditions:Safety is a core value at Jacobs.
