In this role, you’ll play an essential part in ensuring quality, durability, and compliance across field inspections, testing, and project execution.What You’ll DoTechnical & Field InspectionEnsure the quality and integrity of coatings applied on construction materials by performing inspections based on NACE standardsIdentify and address coating defects and non-complianceSubmit daily inspection reports within Maintain 90%+ completion of all assigned safety trainingTarget zero avoidable safety or equipment incidentsSubmit 98% of draft reports within 8 hours — with minimal revisionsMaintain 95% on-time site check-in/check-outLess than 1 serious issue per quarter related to Inspections, Measuring, and Test Equipment due to technician error, lack of maintenance, or lost/damaged equipmentDocumentation & Quality RecordsMaintain accurate inspection records using AEIS digital reporting toolsReview and verify technical documents (e.g., WPS/PQR, lab results, etc.)Collaboration & Continuous ImprovementWork closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and QA/QC SpecialistsContribute to lessons-learned discussions and workflow improvementsWhat We're Looking ForMust HavesNACE Level 1 or 2 certification (Active)Previous coating inspection experienceProficient in word processing and spreadsheet softwareOSHA 30 Construction Safety Training (or ability to obtain)Strong communication and attention to detailWillingness to travel to project sitesBonus PointsAWS CWI CertificationFamiliarity with DOB and public agency documentation requirementsWhy This Role Stands OutDirect collaboration with AEIS Metallurgy & NDT LabsAccess to internal certification programsWork alongside PEs, senior inspectors, and technical expertsCompetitive pay aligned with certifications & experienceClear growth pathway to QA Lead and Technical SpecialistSupportive, inclusive, and professional team cultureSalary Range: $38-42/hourThis range is based on national market data and may vary widely by experience and location.Equal Opportunity EmployerAEIS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate with respect to any term, condition or privilege of employment based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, military or veteran status, marital status, or status of an individual in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.Employment AuthorizationApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
