CompanyJob description:General Machine Company of NJ or GEMCO is a fourth-generation, family-owned manufacturing company in Middlesex, New Jersey, specializing in high-quality industrial blenders and dryers.OverviewGEMCO is hiring a full-time CNC Machinist to operate manual lathes and CNC machines to fabricate precision industrial components. We're seeking someone who takes pride in their work and values craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork.ResponsibilitiesOperate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines to fabricate parts.Read technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.Measure and inspect parts to ensure accuracy and tolerances.Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues.Perform preventative maintenance on machines.Collaborate with engineering and production teams.Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.RequirementsHigh school diploma, GEDCompletion of vocational training or apprenticeship a plus.15+ years of CNC machining experience, manual machining preferred.Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines.Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements.Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and live in commuting distance to Middlesex, New Jersey.Please Note: GEMCO does not offer remote work, relocation assistance, or visa sponsorship.
