Job Summary: The Legal Drafter will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and refining legal documents related to estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related instruments. The ideal candidate will combine legal expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in leveraging AI tools to enhance drafting efficiency and accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Draft, edit, and finalize estate planning documents using Wealth Counsel, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and client specifications. Collaborate with attorneys to interpret client needs and translate them into clear, concise, and legally sound documents. Format and manage documents using Microsoft Office Suite, ensuring professional presentation and consistency. Conduct thorough reviews of drafts to ensure precision, clarity, and adherence to legal standards. Stay updated on estate planning laws and regulations to ensure documents reflect current legal requirements. Assist in maintaining organized records of drafted documents and client files. Utilize AI-powered legal drafting tools to streamline document preparation while maintaining accuracy and quality. Qualifications and Skills: Fluent English: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a focus on clarity and precision in legal writing. Experience in Legal Drafting: Proven experience drafting legal documents in English, preferably in estate planning, trusts, or wealth management. Wealth Counsel and AI Proficiency: Demonstrated experience using AI tools (e.g., legal drafting software or generative AI platforms) to enhance drafting efficiency and accuracy. Microsoft Office Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with strong document formatting and template creation skills. Legal Background: A legal education (e.g., paralegal certification, JD, or equivalent experience) is highly desirable but not mandatory. Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure error-free, polished documents. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of estate planning laws and terminology is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in legal drafting, ideally within estate planning, wealth management and Wealth Counsel.
