Prep Cook
Responsibilities:
Prepare food which is delicious and appetizing in appearance.
Understand and be able to prepare therapeutic diets.
Assume responsibility for meeting meal schedules.
Work cooperatively with food service staff, positive attitude, and team player and compassionate.
As a Cook/Food Prep, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure food preparation meets high-quality standards
Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
Experience working in a restaurant or dietary department
Proficiency in food service tasks such as food handling, catering, and kitchen operations
Knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
Ability to assist in various kitchen duties as required
Understanding of food safety guidelines and procedures
