We have new transformative owners, for all those on board, it's going to be a challenging and a rewarding journey and we are just getting started.Job Summary:The Clinical dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy to the patients of Nacogdoches Hospital which includes screening, initial and on-going assessment of nutritional status, education of patient and family, documentation of care provided and follow up.Key Responsibilities:Screen patients for nutritional needs and initiate appropriate interventionsConduct initial and ongoing nutritional assessments and implement care plans to improve patient statusProvide medical nutrition therapy counseling and education to patients and familiesUse culturally appropriate, population-specific educational tools tailored to individual learning levelsCollect, evaluate, and apply dietary histories to guide nutrition care planningDocument nutrition care in the electronic medical record and collaborate with the healthcare teamDevelop, review, and update patient education materials as neededReview and approve patient menus for nutritional adequacy and acceptabilityMaintain continuing education in specialized nutrition areas (e.g., diabetes, renal, cardiac, parenteral nutrition)Maintain accurate records, including nutrition interventions and performance improvement dataPerform additional duties as needed to support the hospital's mission and visionQualificationsRequired: Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.Required: Licensed Dietitian through State of TexasRequired: Registered Dietitian through Commission on Dietetic Registration
