Manager - Data Architecture, Data & Analytics Office
Overview:
In this role you drive Ellucian's data architecture strategy to empower cross-functional analytics and AI-enabled insights. You lead a team of data architects to design scalable, governed data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and forecasting across the enterprise. You collaborate with business, product, and technology teams to deliver self-service analytics and predictive insights while ensuring security and governance. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of data architects to design and implement enterprise data solutions across Snowflake, Informatica, and dbt
- Define and evolve data architecture strategy, standards, and governance frameworks to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives
- Oversee scalable data models, pipelines, and integration patterns for structured and semi-structured data
- Partner with business, product, and technology teams to align data architecture with strategic goals and enable self-service analytics and predictive insights
- Ensure data platform scalability, performance, and compliance with governance, lineage, and security standards
- Provide architectural leadership for data visualization and embedded analytics using Tableau, Power BI, and related tools
- Stay current on trends in cloud data architecture, data mesh, generative AI, and modern data governance
- Mentor and develop team members to foster innovation and collaboration
Key requirements:
- 60 months of experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering, or BI development
- At least 2 years in leadership or managerial role 3 years in each of: cloud-native data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks) and modern data stack tools (e.g., Informatica, dbt, Airflow)
- Experience translating technical architecture into business value
- Experience with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Gainsight, and Service
