Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

*Job Summary* Ready Set Regulate is a growing pediatric speech and occupational therapy practice in High Ridge, MO, seeking a caring and dependable Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) to join our team. We offer flexible part-time scheduling and a supportive, collaborative environment where you can build meaningful relationships with children and families while working under the supervision of a licensed SLP. *Responsibilities* * Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering speech and language therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs. * Support the implementation of speech-language therapy plans, including exercises targeting speech disorders, language delays, and communication challenges. * Work directly with children and students, including those with disabilities, to promote language development and improve communication skills. * Collaborate with educators, therapists, parents, and other team members to develop and modify individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy goals. * Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote speech therapy services when appropriate, ensuring continuity of care. * Maintain detailed documentation of therapy activities, progress notes, and client communication records in compliance with organizational policies. * Support clients with physiology and anatomy knowledge to enhance understanding of speech mechanisms and disorders. *Requirements* * Prior experience working with children, students with disabilities, or in pediatric settings is highly preferred. * Knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, including speech disorders support, language disorders support, and early intervention strategies. * Familiarity with medical terminology related to speech therapy and anatomy knowledge relevant to speech production. * Experience working within multidisciplinary teams in speech-language pathology or related fields is advantageous. * Acute care experience or school experience supporting children with diverse needs is a plus. * Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, educators, and healthcare professionals; bilingual skills are a valuable asset. * Strong understanding of child language development processes and familiarity with IEP procedures.
