Technical Lead - Fraud & Risk Platforms

Job DescriptionA leading financial services organization is seeking a hands-on Lead Developer to support the buildout of a next-generation fraud prevention and risk intelligence platform. This initiative focuses on creating real-time event-streaming and authentication systems capable of identifying suspicious behavior and fraudulent activity across digital channels.This role will serve as a technical lead for a newly expanding engineering team and will play a key role in designing scalable, cloud-native fraud detection applications leveraging Apache Flink and AWS technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop scalable fraud detection and event-streaming applicationsBuild and maintain Apache Flink streaming pipelines processing millions of events dailyDevelop cloud-native applications using AWS services including EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and Step FunctionsDesign RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring BootBuild asynchronous event-driven solutions using Kafka and Apache ConfluentParticipate in Agile ceremonies, architecture discussions, and SDLC activitiesProvide technical leadership, mentorship, and engineering guidance across teamsCollaborate closely with architects, engineering leadership, and cross-functional partnersRequired QualificationsStrong hands-on experience with Apache Flink pipeline developmentExperience building large-scale streaming and event-processing systemsStrong AWS cloud engineering experienceExperience with:EKSLambdaAPI GatewayDynamoDBS3Step FunctionsJava and Spring Boot development experienceRESTful API development experienceKafka or Apache Confluent experienceStrong communication and problem-solving skills
