Commercial Door Installer

Job Description We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Door Technician to install, service, and repair commercial pedestrian doors and related hardware. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, understands safety and code compliance, and enjoys working in the field with a customer-focused mindset.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, repair, and maintain commercial pedestrian doors, frames, and hardwareService door closers, panic hardware, hinges, locks, automatic operators, and related componentsDiagnose mechanical and operational issues and recommend appropriate repairsEnsure all work complies with ADA, fire/life safety codes, and manufacturer specificationsPerform preventive maintenance and emergency service calls as neededAccurately document work orders, service reports, and parts usedCommunicate professionally with customers, contractors, and internal team membersMaintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in safe working conditionFollow all company safety policies and job site regulationsQualificationsExperience working with commercial pedestrian doors and hardware (preferred)Knowledge of ADA requirements, fire-rated assemblies, and door hardware standardsMechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and manufacturer instructionsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various field conditionsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to pass background checks and obtain access to military bases and other secured facilitiesPreferred (but Not Required)AAADM, DHI, or similar industry certificationsExperience with automatic door operatorsBackground in construction, carpentry, or locksmithing
