Senior Accountant Financial Reporting

🚀 Senior SOX | Technical Accounting | SEC Reporting Opportunity (High-Impact Role) 🚀We’re looking for a finance and controls leader in the making to step into a highly visible role supporting SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting, and a major ERP transformation initiative.This is not a “maintain the status quo” position, this is a build, improve, and elevate the controls and reporting infrastructure from the ground up role.🔥 What makes this role exciting:• Play a key role in building and enhancing SOX controls during an ERP implementation• Be the central point of contact for internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR)• Work directly with senior leadership in SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting• Partner with IT, external consultants, and cross-functional teams on real transformation work• Influence how financial reporting and controls are designed, not just tested• Gain exposure to SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, Proxy), MD&A, and external reporting strategy• Drive process improvement initiatives that actually get implemented💡 What you’ll be doing:• Designing and strengthening SOX / ITGC / ITAC controls in a changing ERP environment• Managing and supporting SOX program execution and external partners• Educating and guiding control owners across the business• Supporting SEC filings, disclosures, and financial statement preparation• Performing variance analysis and helping tell the financial “story” behind the numbers• Improving processes across finance, accounting, and reporting functions🎯 What we’re looking for:• 5+ years in accounting, including SOX + financial reporting exposure• 3+ years in a SOX-compliant environment• 2+ years in public accounting (Big 4 strongly preferred)• Strong understanding of SEC reporting, GAAP, ICFR, and ITGC• ERP experience (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)• High attention to detail + strong Excel/analytical skills• Someone who wants ownership, visibility, and real impact🌟 Why this stands out:This is a chance to step into a role where you’ll be directly involved in shaping controls, influencing reporting quality, and supporting a major transformation initiative — not just executing tasks.If you’re someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and working close to leadership in a fast-moving environment, this is worth a conversation.📩 Open to connecting with interested candidates or referrals.
