See our impressive benefits package for more information.Location: Burlington, VTSituated in the heart of Burlington’s downtown district, our office sits high on the fourth floor of the Wells-Richardson historic building overlooking the beautiful Lake Champlain waterfront and Adirondack Mountains.As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:Have a primary role in an integrated, multi-disciplined team that solves technical challenges on projects of significant scope, size, and difficultyComplete assignments accurately and on time with limited direction from the Project ManagerDevelop an understanding of project budget, scope of services, project development, project schedule and provide updates and recommendations to the Project Manager in maintaining schedule and budgetUnderstand the client's organization, key people, and client expectationsShare best practices to improve performance and efficiency of self and teamDevelop person-hour estimates and budgets with guidance from senior staffLead a small team for moderately complex projectsAssist in proposal efforts and developmentProvide coaching, mentoring and feedback to develop entry-level and staff engineers, peers, and others as neededConduct site visits and participate in or lead meetings with clients/contractorsDemonstrate strong technical writing and presentation skills for deliverables, proposals, and presentation in a public setting (for clients or at seminars/conferences)Requirements:Qualified Candidates will have:BS (MS preferred) Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering5 - 10 years of relevant experienceCurrent PE in NH, MA, ME, or VTExperience with MaineDOT, NHDOT, VTrans or MassDOT and municipal bridge projectsExperience with the software and programs which include AutoCAD, Microstation, Bridge Structural Analysis Programs, MathCad, BlueBeam, etc.Salary is contingent on experienceHoyle Tanner is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
