HVAC Controls Technician

Job Summary#CA-SSUnder general supervision, perform master journey-level work in the heating, ventilation and air conditional trade involving the installation, diagnosis, troubleshooting, programming and repair of electrical, pneumatic, electronic and computerized controls systems. Responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring new BAS control strategies (technical and procedural) to improve energy efficiency, facilities operations and customer satisfaction. The work involves reading and interpreting building blueprints and HVAC systems diagrams and specifications, isolating and identifying problems, and installing and calibrating controls and equipment according to specifications. The incumbent will be lead responder when Operating Room, procedure rooms, clean/dirty utility rooms and other critical patient care areas report ‘out of range’ for relative humidity, temperature and room pressure relationships. Monitor and modify control systems and associated software to ensure optimal functionality and reliability while understanding future needs to ensure continuous and effective improvement through the implementation of projects and programs.
