Position Overview: Self-starter who provides product and service information and works with customers by identifying needs; offers solutions or corrections and follows up to ensure customer satisfaction. General office support assisting multiple departments with various tasks. Essential Job Functions: · Primary customer service back-up for Home Depot account. · Assists with reviewing orders and P. O’s for accuracy. · Assists with writing up Sales orders and P.O.’s received via fax, daily. · Responsible for processing monthly commission reports and processing commission payments to outside sales representatives. · Creates and maintains a variety of word documents and excel spreadsheets as needed. · Assist sales department with reports and mailings. · Assist with maintaining customer updates ensuring that information is correctly input and filed. · Assist with process for warranty cards and rebate coupons. · Assist with scanning of orders, bills of lading, invoices etc. · Post incoming payments for deposit, post and key in MasterCard and Visa orders. · Troubleshoot problems involving office equipment, such as copiers, contacting vendors for support as necessary. · Communicate with customers, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and take orders. · Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and personal computers. · Use sound telephone techniques, direct calls, and take messages as appropriate. · Maintains a consistent and positive customer service image while interacting with customers. · Open, sort, and route incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail when needed. · Assist with filling literature requests. · Other tasks and duties as assigned. Requirements: · Education / Certification o High School diploma or equivalent · Knowledge & Experience o 1 year Clerical, Office Clerk, and/or Customer Service experience o Fluent in English and the ability to communicate effectively in English (both verbal and written) o Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word programs. o Preferred knowledge in Infor ERP XA Client. · Other Skills / Abilities o Positive interaction when dealing with general public, exceptional customer service skills o Ability to organize and prioritize workload o Ability to work as part of a team Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred) ERP systems: 1 year (Preferred) Microsoft Office: 2 years (Preferred) Customer service: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Farmington Hills, MI 48335 (Preferred) Work Location: In person
