Production Manager
Seeking an experienced Production Manager to join a leading global chemical manufacturing organization supporting one of its key production facilities in Texas.This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing safe, reliable, high-quality, and efficient manufacturing operations while driving process safety, operational excellence, reliability improvements, continuous improvement, and employee development. The successful candidate will lead the Production Team and work closely with Maintenance, Reliability, Technical Services, HSE, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Site Leadership to improve plant performance and support long-term business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop the Production Team through coaching, training, workforce planning, succession development, and performance management.Provide leadership for safe, environmentally responsible manufacturing operations while maintaining compliance with HSE, Process Safety Management (PSM), operating permits, and Conduct of Operations requirements.Own site production performance across safety, environmental compliance, production volume, product quality, reliability, and operating cost.Direct daily production activities and establish priorities, resources, and performance objectives to achieve operational and business targets.Drive process optimization, continuous improvement, cost reduction, capacity enhancement, and operational excellence initiatives.Partner closely with Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, and Technical Services to improve asset reliability, equipment performance, and plant productivity.Lead and support Management of Change (MOC), risk assessments, operational readiness, and other process safety initiatives.Resolve complex operational and technical issues while identifying opportunities to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and product quality.Support capital projects, capacity improvement initiatives, plant modifications, and other major projects from planning through implementation.Provide production leadership for turnaround planning, execution, startup readiness, and post-turnaround performance improvement.Develop, administer, and monitor the annual operating budget while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.Collaborate with Plant Leadership and cross-functional teams to establish priorities, allocate resources, and execute production strategies.Promote a culture of accountability, employee engagement, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the production organization.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.Minimum of 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience within chemical manufacturing or a related industrial environment.Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing teams within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Experience leading operations within a 24/7 continuous manufacturing environment.Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams consisting of both exempt and non-exempt personnel.Strong knowledge of safe manufacturing operations, Process Safety Management (PSM), environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements.Experience leading continuous improvement, operational excellence, and organizational change initiatives.Experience managing operating budgets, cost reduction initiatives, and financial performance metrics.Strong cross-functional experience working with Manufacturing, Engineering, Technical Services, Maintenance, Reliability, and Business teams.Experience supporting project planning, capital projects, capacity improvements, or major plant initiatives.Strong leadership, coaching, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Preferred ExperienceExperience within the chemical, petrochemical, refining, or other continuous process manufacturing industries.Strong understanding of chemical processes, manufacturing systems, process control, mechanical equipment, and reliability practices.Experience with Mechanical Integrity (MI) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).Background leading plant-wide operational excellence and reliability improvement programs.Experience supporting major turnarounds, shutdowns, startups, or plant expansions.Experience working with contractors, vendors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.Strong understanding of production performance metrics, process optimization, and cost management.Experience developing workforce capability, succession plans, and
