Lead HVAC-R Technician
Job Description
We are looking for a hard-working, dedicated HVACR Technician to join our growing staff. The individual in this role will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and fixing our customers' heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Candidates should have extensive experience handling, installing, and fixing HVACR equipment, and be comfortable working with little to no supervision. Candidates must have a minimum of five years experience.HVACR Technician Duties and ResponsibilitiesTravel to homes and businesses on a daily basis as scheduledPerform consultations with customersDetermine customer needs and discuss all solution methodsInstall new heating, cooling, and ventilation systemsInspect current HVACR systems for effectiveness and safetyPerform preventative maintenance on HVACR systems to increase longevityConduct performance tests with specialized toolsTroubleshoot current HVACR system issuesRepair damaged HVACR systemsKeep records of customer appointments and payment transactions including invoicesHVAC Technician Requirements and Qualifications3-5 years apprenticeship under a journeyperson preferedCertification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants a plusCertification or associate's degree from an HVAC program at a technical school a plusPrevious on the job training a plusStrong verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex HVAC issues with customers in a way they understandCritical-thinker, problem-solverMust hold state driver's licenseMust be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations
