IBM WebMethods Integration Developer (webMethods & GCP Cloud)
We are seeking a highly skilled WebMethods Tech Lead / Senior Developer to drive integration excellence for a major financial services initiative. This role is designed for a technical expert who thrives at the intersection of webMethods integration and modern Cloud/DevOps practices. You will be responsible for developing robust APIs, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring seamless deployments within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.
This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week onsite in Columbus, Ohio. Candidates must be prepared for a Day 1 onsite start and must successfully clear a comprehensive background verification (BGV).
Key Responsibilities
Integration Development: Lead the design and development of webMethods Integration Server solutions, utilizing Universal Messaging, Java services, XML, and JSON.
Cloud & DevOps Orchestration: Implement and manage build/deployment processes to GCP using DevOps practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
Architecture Management: Utilize SAG product suites such as Command Central, Asset Build Environment (ABE), and wM Project Automator to streamline integration lifecycles.
Observability & Maintenance: Monitor and troubleshoot complex systems using ELK, Splunk, and Log4j.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate across multiple teams to deliver fast-moving projects with minimal supervision, ensuring all technical documentation meets enterprise standards.
Required Qualifications
Professional Experience: 6–12 years of overall experience in software engineering and integration.
webMethods Mastery: Deep expertise in the SAG product suite (Integration Server, Universal Messaging, Deployer, Command Central).
API & Backend Development: Minimum of 5 years' experience developing APIs (REST, SOAP, HTTP/HTTPS) and Java-based microservices.
DevOps & Cloud: 5+ years of experience in CI/CD, pipeline automation, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Data & Tooling: 3+ years of experience with MS SQL and stored procedures. Proficiency with Git, GitLab, Apache Ant, and Maven.
Communication: Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to function as an independent contributor and a team lead.
Logistics & Requirements
Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office / 2 days remote).
Onboarding: Immediate availability for a mid-April start; BGV clearance is mandatory.
Communication Standards: Precision in both written and verbal technical communication is required.
