Construction Manager
Overview:D&B Engineers and Architects is hiring a Construction Manager for our Water Supply Division. Come join a team of other passionate, hardworking employees and become part of a friendly, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Working with licensed Professional Engineers, Senior Engineers, and Project Managers on various tasks, including:Collaborating with younger engineers and construction management staff during the construction phase of water treatment and water main projects, providing inspection support for water supply, distribution, and planning projects. Performing constructability reviews on project design drawings before they are put out to bid. Reviewing and interpreting project drawing details (Civil, Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical) and working with construction staff and design teams to address conflicts during construction to keep projects moving forward. Interfacing with contractors during construction, including attending/running progress meetings, reviewing meeting minutes, fielding contractor questions to discuss with the design team, and reviewing field installations for conformance to drawings/specifications. Maintaining communication with design engineers and other project disciplines throughout construction until project substantial completion and final acceptance by DOH. Reviewing and recommending RFIs, COs, payments, submittals, and schedules. Coordinating inspection staff across multiple projects. Interacting with clients to ensure their needs are met and providing weekly updates to senior staff. Assisting the design team with final plant integration during startup to ensure proper operation of all components. Supporting grant funding tracking and compliance when required.
