Software DeveloperResponsibilities:Responsible for planning, designing, developing, and validating software systems and applications focused on user experience (UX) innovation.This includes enhancements to existing products and the development of new solutions, particularly within cloud-based platforms and internet-connected tools.The role emphasizes creating intuitive, high-performance UX applications that support strategic product differentiation and customer satisfaction.Implement code based on direction from lead/principal engineersContribute to prototypes, proofs of concept, and proof-of-value workDomain experience: Automotive not required; any domain acceptableAI tools: AI experience not required; familiarity with Copilot is a plusEmbedded work: Possible, but not guaranteed; varies by projectCloud: Mainly AWS, but much work stays local/on machineRequirements:5+ years of experience in software development.Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++, with the ability to apply them across diverse development environments.Experienced in both front-end and back-end development, with a solid understanding of full-stack architecture and integration.Familiar with Agile methodologies, including Kanban and Scrum, with practical experience in iterative development and team collaboration.Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, including deployment and service integration.Knowledgeable in database management systems, including both SQL and NoSQL technologies, for efficient data modeling and access.Preferred:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, enabling effective teamwork across multidisciplinary groups.Capable of working independently, managing time efficiently, and prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.Hands-on experience in GUI development using modern tools and frameworks, with a focus on usability and performance.Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, ensuring secure design and implementation of software systems.Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldWe offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, AD&D, tuition reimbursement, and more.
