Maintenance Technician 3rd ShiftKeep Our Facilities Running Safely and Reliably OvernightAs a Maintenance Technician 3rd Shift, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of our production equipment and facilities during overnight operations. Working hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you'll troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain machinery to minimize downtime and support continuous production across the facility.Technical & Maintenance LeadershipSupport overnight production by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issuesInstall, dismantle, align, and relocate machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsRead and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures and repair methodsPerform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevityRespond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance calls during 3rd shift operationsWork independently during overnight hours while coordinating with supervisors, operations, and other skilled trades as neededPromote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvementEquipment Installation, Repair & MaintenanceDismantle machines using hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and power toolsMove machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, forklifts, and lift trucksAssemble and install industrial equipment including conveyors, shafting, and railsConstruct and repair machine foundations using materials such as wood, cement, and steelAlign machines and equipment using precision tools such as micrometers, plumb bobs, squares, levels, jacks, and hoistsSecure machinery to foundations or structures by bolting, welding, riveting, or fasteningOperate engine lathes or machining equipment as needed to fabricate or modify partsRepair, lubricate, and perform routine servicing of machinery and equipmentInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot automated or robotic equipment; modify programs using teach pendants when requiredCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Operations to ensure equipment is production-ready at the start of each shiftWork with Safety and Quality teams to ensure compliance with SOPs, LOTO procedures, and regulatory requirementsParticipate in maintenance projects, equipment upgrades, shutdowns, and continuous improvement initiativesDocument maintenance activities, completed repairs, and follow-up needs for shift transitionsWhat You'll BringWe're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented maintenance professional who thrives in an overnight manufacturing environment.High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferredMinimum 35 years of industrial or facilities maintenance experienceStrong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systemsProven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsExperience with welding, machining, conveyors, automation, or robotics is a plusForklift and lift equipment experience preferredStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work 3rd shift (overnight schedule) independently and reliablyRequirementsJoin the Fresh Revolution with F&S Fresh Foods!
