Standard Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Software Engineer to join the Information Systems & Innovation (IS&I) organization who will be responsible for the development and support of fleet management, Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) and maintenance management software product lines, The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other development team members, the Manager of Software/Systems Architecture, US government and/or commercial customers and other stakeholders to execute web-based software product development.Use of software development life cycle methods to develop, test and deploy specified softwareGenerating work products such as basic usage scenarios and sketches/models, prototypes, and pertinent architecture and design documentationExecuting development, integration, unit/integration test and deployment of software products/components independently and/or in cooperation with the software development team and stakeholders at large, providing technical direction to subcontractors when appropriate; supporting the development/test team and the customer in generating and executing a set of acceptance test requirements when neededAssisting in data systems integrations and data synthesis if/as neededProviding limited support to IT infrastructure on an as-needed basis, in coordination with production support and IT infrastructure personnelProvide overarching technical leadership of software development effortKeep pace with enabling technologies and provide input to technology insertion plansProvide Software Technical duties for software reviews, produce schedule, agenda, meeting minutes, action items and resolution of action itemsLeadership of software architecture and design reviewsWork with stakeholders to ensure compliance with all Lockheed Martin (LM) technical requirementsWork with stakeholders to align technical/business objectives with productsWork with internal Cyber Security staff to resolve technical issuesPrepare test plans, test descriptions, test casesSubmit weekly project status reportsTrack, monitor and report on project status (technical, schedule) throughout the software development lifecycleBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent work experience)Experience in leading small teams of developersDemonstratable Project Management SkillsIn depth knowledge of Software Development LifecycleMSOffice Proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Detail and team orientedClear, concise writing skillsAbility to effectively work with internal & external customersAbility to work independently and with limited direction to accomplish project goalsAt least five (7) years in any of the following technologies (or similar equivalents):NET, C#, Angular, ASP.NET, HTML 5 / JavaScript and/or Web-based architecturesFamiliarity with Web designFamiliarity with scrum and agile development methodologiesFamiliarity with systems security engineering and cyber security principlesFamiliarity with XMLFamiliarity with web, mobile and database conceptsFamiliarity with Amazon cloud deploymentsDesired SkillsFamiliarity Oracle, Postgres, SQLite, or MySQL databasesS1000D and Mil spec data knowledgein-depth knowledge of IETM-type software and XML/SGML scripting, as well as graphics formats (SVG, PNG)Software UI/UX designTechnical writing/IETM user experienceAPI integration to external customer systems (ex. maintenance management systems or health and usage systems)In depth of authentication protocols across different environments/operating systems (ex.
