Job description:Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator / Project Manager to lead construction estimating and project execution from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage multiple projects, develop accurate cost estimates, and oversee construction activities ensuring they meet quality standards, budget constraints, and schedule deadlines. The ideal candidate will be energized by challenges, possess strong negotiation skills, and demonstrate a passion for delivering exceptional results in the construction industry.DutiesEstimatingReview drawings, specs, and bid documentsPerform detailed takeoffs (labor, materials, equipment)Build accurate and competitive cost estimatesManage subcontractor/vendor pricingIdentify risks, gaps, and value engineering opportunitiesPrepare proposals and support bid submissionsProject SupportAssist with project kickoff and turnoverSupport procurement, submittals, and vendor coordinationTrack budgets and assist with cost controlCoordinate with operations, vendors, and internal teamsHelp ensure smooth execution from award through completionProjects include complex electrical systems, with a focus on:commercial and industrial electrical systemselectrical construction and design buildelectrical service maintenance and site lightingphone and data cablingCommercial & institutional construction projectsExperienceProven experience in construction estimating with proficiency in Conest software tools.Strong background in construction management including site supervision and contract administration.Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with clients and vendors to optimize project outcomes.Hands-on experience with cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and budget management in construction projects.Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and quality assurance practices.Familiarity with construction contracts, project management methodologies, and scheduling software is essential.Prior involvement in managing multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.
