Elementary School Teacher

Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet Illinois Learning Standards. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and fosters a love of learning. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Assess student performance regularly through formal and informal methods to guide instruction and provide feedback. Maintain accurate and complete student records, including grades and attendance. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to promote a cohesive and supportive educational environment. Implement classroom management techniques to ensure a safe and orderly classroom. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and state requirements. Support school-wide initiatives and participate in extracurricular activities as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field from an accredited institution. Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Elementary Education. Proven experience in teaching at the elementary level. Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate instructional strategies. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, parents, and colleagues. Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom to enhance learning.
