Job Description Role OverviewSolutions Engineer supporting multiple sales reps across the Mid-Atlantic regionFunctions as a shared regional technical resourceTerritory / TravelCoverage includes Western PA (Pittsburgh), West Virginia, Virginia (including Northern VA and Lynchburg), and MarylandPreference for candidates located centrally (Western Maryland ideal)Role requires regular travel across the regionPrimary ObjectiveProvide additional technical support to account teamsReduce bandwidth constraints on current engineering resourcesSupport existing customer base and improve coverage across the regionExperience / BackgroundExperience with enterprise/open architecture security platforms (Genetec, Avigilon, Milestone, or similar)Ability to conduct site walks, system design, bill of materials, and scope developmentAble to operate independently in the fieldComfortable supporting multiple reps across different accountsWork EnvironmentNo formalized handoff process between sales and engineering todayEngineers operate with flexibility in tools and workflowsPreference for candidates who can function effectively in this environmentCompensationBase salary: approximately low six figuresCommission: participation based on level of involvement in deals (minimum 10% of commission with additional upside potential)
