Senior Software EngineerWe are engaged in a confidential search for a C# / AS400 Developer to support a large-scale lending systems modernization and data migration initiative within a stable, growth-oriented financial institution.This is a data-centric role focused on moving and transforming critical financial data from legacy IBM (AS400) environments into modern platforms. You’ll play a key role in ETL development, integration, and ensuring data accuracy across systems.What You’ll DoLead data conversion and migration efforts across lending and financial systemsExtract data from legacy platforms (AS400/DB2), stage, transform, and load into target systemsDesign, build, and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processesDevelop C# applications/services to support data integration and automationIntegrate systems using SOAP and REST web services (WCF and modern APIs)Validate and reconcile data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrityCollaborate with business and technical teams to map complex data structuresTroubleshoot and optimize ETL workflows and data pipelinesWhat You Bring (Must-Have)Strong hands-on experience with SSIS, C#, and SQL ServerExperience with IBM i (AS400), DB2, or RPG environmentsProven background in data migration, ETL, or large-scale data conversion projectsStrong SQL skills (queries, stored procedures, data analysis)Experience working with web services (SOAP/REST, WCF)Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on data accuracy and integrityAbility to work cross-functionally with both technical and business stakeholdersNice to HaveBackground in financial services, lending, or banking systemsFamiliarity with ADO.NET, LINQ to SQL, or similar data access layersExperience supporting modernization or legacy system transformation effortsWhy This RoleHigh-impact role tied directly to core system modernizationOpportunity to work on mission-critical financial data platformsStrong mix of legacy and modern technology (AS400 ? .NET / APIs)Stable environment with long-term project visibility
