Coach (Southern Nye Schools) Pahrump, Amargosa Valley, Beatty Funding Source: General Fund Stipend Position: Based on Sport & Location Job Goal: To provide each enrolled student of secondary school age an opportunity to participate in an extra-curricular athletic activity that will foster physical skills, a sense of worth and competence, and the principles of fair play. Qualifications: Experience requirements: Head Varsity Coach: Previous coaching experience required; In the same sport preferred; Varsity coach experience preferred. Head Coach: Previous coaching experience required; In the same sport preferred. Assistant Varsity Coach: Previous coaching experience required; In the same sport preferred. Assistant Coach: Previous coaching experience preferred; In the same sport preferred. Must have demonstrated knowledge of the program Must be willing to work long hours and on weekends Must be willing to work in a high-pressure environment Must have CPR and First Aid Certification Must complete NIAA and NCSD mandatory online training Must work well with Administration, coaches, parents, staff, and community Must pass a reference check, mandatory fingerprint background check, and drug and alcohol testing. Working Conditions: Office or suitable workspace with desk, telephone, computer, and supplies necessary to carry out the functions of the position description.
