Weld Supervisor

Weld Supervisor / Lead We are seeking an experienced Weld Supervisor / Lead to oversee daily operations within a manufacturing weld department. This role is responsible for ensuring production targets are met in alignment with customer demand and takt time, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and hands-on welding experience. Key Responsibilities Enforce and uphold all safety policies and procedures Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency Train new and existing employees on welding processes and job responsibilities Ensure production lines meet daily schedules, including sequencing, output, and quality checks Monitor hourly production to meet takt time requirements and address issues in real time Ensure materials are available to prevent downtime Participate in line setup and first article (FA) approvals Adjust staffing levels based on attendance and production needs Track and maintain accurate production metrics (rate sheets, quality checks, counts, etc.) Conduct timed observations and adjust processes to meet standard cycle times Lead and support 5S initiatives and workplace organization Initiate and support continuous improvement (Kaizen) efforts Attend production meetings and provide updates, feedback, and problem-solving support Compile and report production data as required Assist other departments and act as supervisor in their absence when needed Qualifications Proven experience in welding within a manufacturing environment Proficiency with a variety of welding processes and equipment Strong leadership, training, and team development skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently while following management direction Strong organizational and time management skills Commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful work environment Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification) IND2
