USED CAR MANAGER
Used Car Manager / Buyer Well-established automotive dealership group in the Carson City area is seeking an experienced Used Car Manager / Buyer to lead and grow our pre-owned inventory operations. About the Role: The Used Car Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of the used car department, ensuring that sales targets are met while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This position involves managing inventory, pricing strategies, and the overall sales process to maximize profitability. The manager will also be responsible for training and mentoring sales staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth. Additionally, the Used Car Manager will analyze market trends and customer preferences to make informed decisions about vehicle acquisitions and sales strategies. Ultimately, the goal is to drive the success of the used car department and contribute to the overall growth of the dealership. Minimum Qualifications: Proven experience in automotive sales, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team and engage with customers. Analyze market trends and adjust buying strategy accordingly. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Experience with inventory management software and CRM systems. Knowledge of financing options and dealership operations. Proven experience in used car management and/or buying. Strong appraisal and negotiation skills. Deep understanding of market data and inventory management tools. Ability to work independently and make high-impact decisions. High integrity and professionalism. Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the used car department, including inventory management and sales processes. Develop and implement effective pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial contact to final sale. Work closely with sales team to maximize profitability and volume. Maintain strong relationships with auction reps and vendors.
