Commercial Foreclosure Associate AttorneyA well-established and highly regarded Long Island law firm is seeking a Commercial Foreclosure Associate Attorney to join its growing team in either the firm’s Hauppauge or East Meadow office.This is a newly created position due to continued growth within the practice. The role will support a senior partner and focus primarily on representing lenders and financial institutions in commercial foreclosure and creditors’ rights matters.The ideal candidate will have prior foreclosure experience and be comfortable stepping into an active practice with the ability to handle files with a degree of independence. While some training and mentorship will be provided, the team is seeking someone who can largely “hit the ground running.”Key Responsibilities:Manage commercial foreclosure matters on behalf of lenders and financial institutions Draft and review pleadings, motions, notices, and foreclosure-related legal documents Handle foreclosure proceedings from inception through resolution Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with applicable foreclosure laws and procedures Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third-party vendors Assist with contested and uncontested foreclosure matters, loan enforcement actions, and related litigation Support senior attorneys and partners on active creditor rights matters Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment Qualifications:J.D. from an accredited law school and active admission to the New York Bar Approximately 2–5+ years of foreclosure, creditors’ rights, or related real estate litigation experience preferred Experience representing lenders, banks, or financial institutions strongly preferred Commercial foreclosure experience highly preferred; residential foreclosure experience will also be considered Ability to independently manage files and navigate foreclosure processes with limited supervision Strong drafting, organizational, and communication skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
